Pi Network
Pi Network started on March 14, 2019, which is also the origin of the project name, pi. Pi's core team is led by two Stanford University PhDs and a Stanford MBA who have helped build the blockchain community at Stanford University. PI is a platform designed to create a cryptocurrency and smart contract that is protected and operated by day-to-day personnel. Pi makes encryption mining easy, and breakthrough technology allows anyone to mine on mobile phones without draining the battery.
The PI Network is divided into three phases:
Phase 1 - The Distribution Phase
Phase 2 - Start Test Network
Phase 3 - Mainnet starts.
The project is now in the first phase - the stage of currency allocation. In the third phase of the project, you also have the option to fully own your private/public key.
So What Is The PI Network?
Pi is a mobile cryptocurrency and smart contracts platform that is secured, owned and operated by everyday people.
To achieve this goal, we are giving everyone convenient access to the most proven and compelling cryptocurrency application to date: mining (earning cryptocurrency rewards for helping to secure a distributed ledger).
More specifically, we aim to empower more people to help validate transactions and earn cryptocurrency rewards from the convenience of their mobile phones.
There are currently 250,000+ people on the PI Network and it's growing pretty fast. The best thing about it is... it just takes 3 seconds a day to activate the mining.
